The Comune di Sestriere lies 2035 meters above sea level on the horse-shaped hill between Val Chisone and Val Susa few kilometers from France.

Surface: 2580 hectares constituted from four inhabited villages: Sestriere Hill, Sestriere Borgata, Champlas du Col and Champlas Janvier.

Sestriere is a historical point for an international tourism as well as many times chosen for great events, the biggest were : Championships of the World of Ski in 1997 and Winter Olympic Games in 2006 together to the Paraolympics.
Situated in the middle of the famous Via Lattea (Milky Way), Sestriere offers to the skiers the possibility of connection with others five stations for a total of 400 km. of tracks, 120 km. of which with artificial snow from cannons, and 89 routes with the possibility of skiing in the light of the reflectors.
For fans of cross-country skiing in Monterotta there are more than 10 km of tracks, also, in front of the ski-lifts, is a possibility of skating on ice in the open air.
A golf course to 18 holes (one of the highest in Europe), a covered swimming pool with annexed external bathtub, a natural lake for the angling, the opportunity of trips in the middle of the rich and virgin alpine nature all give the great tourist possibilities also during the summery season.
The whole year Sestriere offers the possibility to practice mountain-bike, soccer, tennis, basket, badminton, ping-pong, squash, body building, or relax in sauna and getting tan also in solarium.
A remarkable example of modern architecture, the church of Saint Edoardo, contains works of Rubino e Azzi,and Via Crucis ( Stations of the Cross ) by Francisco Messina.
Both in summer and winter Sestriere offers relax, cultural activities, sport, hospitality of 6000 places for night, shopping with a remarkable variety of shops and many ways of regeneration of soul and body.
