Arabba

In : Dolomiti Superski

besides the demanding slopes of Porta Vescovo, Arabba offers the possibility to ski on Marmolada glacier.
The skiarea makes part of Sella Ronda runs with direct access to the other areas ( Val di Fassa, Val Gardena and Alta Badia).

The best skiing conditions are on the southern part of the slopes around Arabba hidden in the natural shade.
The lift goes to Port Vescovo where is the beginning of the fast downhill runs considered to be ones of the most difficult in Dolomites.

The opposite, ‘sunny’ side of Arabba offers easier slopes perfect for family skiing.
These slopes are the part of Sella Ronda, making the direct access to the other ski resorts.
There are two ways from Arabba leading around Sella, antyclockwise one goes via peak Burz ( 1943 m) and Passo Campolongo ( 1875 m) to Corvara.
The clockwise runs around Sella Ronda lead via Pont de Vauz ( 1851 m ) and Passo Pordoi ( 2239 m) to the area above Canazei.

To ski on Marmolada glacier one has to take the Europa I gondola up to the mid-station. Passo Padon ( 2370 m).
From Passo Pardon there runs go down to two cable cars leading to Marmolada, one at Passo Fedaia or the second – Malga Blanc at Malga Ciapela up to 3269m and the Punta Rocca.
