From February 24 to 26, the Alta Valtellina ski area will host an event without equal in Europe: the Burn River Jump.
The world top snowboarders are going to compete in the evening jump over the river Spoel.
The event is spread over 30,000 square meters devoted to the qualifications of the Slopestyle and more than 175,000 square meters of snow, which gives rise to structures for River Jump.
The maintennce of race structures is entrusted to the long experience of the shaper and gattisti Swatch Mottolino Snowpark.
This year edition Burn River Jump features in the highlights of SWATCH TTR (Ticket to Ride) World Snowboard Tour, and accredited 5 stars in Swatch TTR rankings.
The event will start on Wednesday in the Swatch Snowpark Mottolino with BRUX-Slopestyle Contest, a competition open to all male snowboarders, who will be required to present some extraordinary evolution skills.
The top ten winners will gain the access to the prestigious final on Friday evening, when the snowboarders will challenge the jump over the river Spoel.
The group of final runners consists of :
- the eight best riders in the world
- four wild cards
- the top ten athletes of the Slopestyle commenced on Wednesday.
The total prize fund exceeds 50 thousand dollars, prepared by the main sponsors, who this year are :

The Friday event will be broadcast live on web page www.riverjump.it thanks to the support of Keepod. The highlight of the event will became the part of bigger celebration that involves the entire Upper Valtellina.
Again Mottolino confirms its position as the Italian capital of freestyle skiing and entertainment.
