downhill fun on Cima Piazzi

Between two famous ski resorts Bormio and Livigno in heart of Valtellina lies the ski resort Cima Piazzi. The mountain from which the area takes its name is also often referred as ‘Happy Mountain’ as the sun visits its slopes for the whole day long. The sunny slopes with magnificent Alpine views around, and the nearby forests of Stelvio National Park make
the area perfect for family vacations outside of crowded spots.

The main village of Valdidentro valley is Isolaccia, from there the gondola lift goes to the top of the mountain. Near the refugee Conca Bianca around 1995 m a.s.l. stretches
the plateau Pian della Motta , where is the beginning of the fun area designed for the young ones. Two animals from the park ‘young hare’ and ‘Bambi- young deer’ help young skiers to move their first steps on snow. The Ski School offers Valdidentro packages designed specifically for families and children, and the organized group classes for children aged 3 to 14 years,
where the skiers are accompanied by the teacher to explore the area of a school camp equipped with inflatable games.

The fun is multiplied by the local activities including sled dogs, biathlon, short winter hikes, a Nordic ski run of international level and last by not least hot springs, the whole area is famous of.

Although there is a possibility to buy the skipass only for Cima Piazzi Happy Mountain, more opportunities gives the skipass Valdidentro /Olga -San Colombano, which allows to ski also on the other side of the mountain, where slopes go down to Olga and Le Motte on the suburbs of Bormio.
The ski lovers who will find the runs of Cima Piazzi not challenging enough can purchase the ski pass 4 valli, or Alta Valtellina, allowing use lifts in Bormio, Santa Caterina Valfurva and Livigno.

Children born in 2002 and after , can obtain Cima Piazzi ski pass free, if accompanied by the adult, who purchase the pass for the same period.
