The ski region Civetta includes three resorts: Alleghe, Selva di Cadore and Valle di Zoldo.
There are about 80 km of slopes on the mountains between massifs of Pelmo ( 3 168 m) and Civetta ( 3 220 m).
The main location – Selva do Cadore is situated in the valley Ferentina, which got it’s name from the presence of mines of iron, active here from early medieval times to the end of 18th century. The history of the mines and mining tools and equipment are on exhibition in ‘Museo del Ferro e del Chiodo’ in Forno di Zoldo.
The main attraction of another museum ‘Museo Civico della Val Fiorentina’ located in Selva are remains of Mesolithic man, who lived around 8000 years ago, known as ‘”Man of Mondeval’, as his burial has been found in nearby Mondeval de Sora 2 150 m above the sea level.

The lake Alleghe, formed in 1771 as a result of slide on mountain Piz is frozen for most of the winter period, giving the possibility to skate, and play ice hockey.
Since 1932 the leading Italian team Alleghe Hockey still practice on the lake , however for the regular meetings utilizes the covered stadium built in 1985.

The ski area features 4 illuminated piste located in Zoldo ( Mon-Sat 19.00-23.00 ), among them are
