Ski Italy

In 1907 the train connected Bolzano with small town Renon bringing tourists to the popular holiday and sport center. Renon (Ritten)
consists of three smaller centres: Ritten itself, Collalbo ( Klobenstein) and Costalovara (Wolfsgruben).
Part of the train line has been replaced recently by the cable car , the longest cable in the Alps ( 4 km ).

The ski resort is named after the mountain Corno del Renon ( 2 270 m).
The wiev from Rittner Horn is arguably the most popular and the easiest to recognize in the Alps.
On the horison there are glaciers of Ortles-Cevedale range on one side, Alpe di Siusi and other legendary peaks of Dolomites on the other, and looking in between Stubaier an Zillertaler Alps.
The gondola takes skiers from Pemmern ( 1530 m ) to the plateau under Corno del Renon – Schwarzseespitze (2 070 m), where they can enjoy 15 km of various difficulty runs.

There is also the snowpark, new toboggan run, and brand new Cross-Country ski run, about 35 km long from midstation of Corno del Renon to Alpe di Villandro.
There is the natural ice on Lago di Costalovara , also the artificial ice skate rink nearby , and ‘ice palace’ for family fun.
The ski resort is a part of Ortler Skiarena.
