Livigno Carosello 3000

The slopes of the mountains located south of Livigno are served by lifts of ski resort Carosello 3000.
Although the peak Carosello itself is only 2749 m a.s.l. the ski resort bears the name Carosello 3000 to stress the location of the slopes on the level ‘just around’ 3 000 m above sea level. The high altitude of the resort allows to ski from beginning of November till April.

There is an artificial snow support on some slopes, and the old chair lifts were replaced by two new gondolas Livigno – Tagliede and Tagliede – Valandrea.

The area features plenty of Ciaspole walking possibilities, and heliski is quite popular there.

For the younger ones there is Boarderzoo, the slow downhill run with life-size copies of local wild animals aside.

There is one common skipass, which allows to use lifts of Carosello 3000 and another area – Mottolino, which serves slopes on the other side of Livigno.
