Last year funivie Mottolino entered its 50 year of existence, during which they witnessed the first ski lift in Livigno, the first refugee and snowpark.
The ski area serves the slopes of Monte Sponda, Monte della Neve, and Mottolino, which is named after.
Some elevators have their starting station in Livigno, and the other in nearby village Trepalle, which is located on the road between Bormio and Livigno.

Besides downhill runs mottolino offers some slopes for off-piste skiing, and the large fun area split into the snowpark, boardercross, children area and speedski, where everyone can test their maximum speed on ski or snowboard.

The most advanced skiers can find demanding run named after the local sportsmen Giorgio Rocca, or try Mottolino 1 and Sponda Fis, all known for holding various ski events.
But if you don’t feel like breaking the records, try the blue but sophisticated famous Pista degli Amanti ( Lovers run ) which goes through picturesque forest trees down to Livigno.

There is one common skipass, which allows to use lifts of Mottolino and another area – Carosello 3000, which serves slopes on the other side of Livigno.
