Overlooking the historical town Brixen (Bressannone) the mountain range Plose offers 360 degree panoramic view of Dolomites and the South Tyrolean Alps. The ski resort around the slopes of Plose and features the longest run in Alto Adige – legendary ‘Trametsch’ 9km long with 1400m altitude span.

Brixen has been build on the important juction connecting the road from Brennero Pass ( the present motorway A22 ) leading along Val Isarco to Torino, with the trade route following Val Pusteria to Austrian Lienz. Today the local trains to Dobbiacco and Brunick start from nearby station in Fortezza.
The ski season starts from the beginning of December and lasts till the first days of April.
The first lift station is located in a small village Sant’Andrea just above the city of Brixen.
The gondola takes the skiers to Valcroce at 2 050 m, from where start several runs and the chairlifts, which can reach the altitude around 2 500 m asl.
The proud of Plose ski resort, pista Trametsch in the upper part is red to change into black after two kilometres, the classic black Trametsch is 7 km long with the span of 1150 km ending near the first lift in Sant’Andrea.
The snow area is also well prepared for fans of toboggan. The last season witnessed the opening of the new toboggan run along pista Trametsch. The slope RuniRun is 11,7 km long, which makes it the longest toboggan run in Alto Adige, and one of the longest in the world.
The special ‘midnight programme’ allows to sledge on illuminated RuniRun during the night, every Wednesday between 18.30-23.00.

Snowpark:

Double fun-Funpark Plose, featuring Washboard, slides, jumps, funboxes and table tops.

Cross-Country skiing:

Kreuztal 5km, Wuerzjoch 20 km

Skipass:

This region is not included in Ortler skiarena, but there is a possibility to purchase the special ticket which allows to ski in the neighbour resorts of Isarco Valley. Skipass EISACKTAL/VALLE ISARCO covers total 30 lifts with over 85 km of slopes of resorts :
Plose/Brixen – Gitschberg/Meransen – Vals/Jochtal – Villnöss – Feldthurns – Lüsen

The ski resorts Plose – Gitschberg – Jochtal are included in Skipass Dolomiti Superski, which covers 12 big ski areas in Dolomites.
