The most famous snowpark of the Alps Mottolino Swatch Snowpark will host competitions of the stars of the future of snowboarding in the biggest event of the rookie season PROTEST WORLD ROOKIE FEST 2012, held between 14th and 18th of January.

Although the word ‘rookie’, often used in American sports, indicates the novice and the fresher, the wild boys, who will meet in the fantastic facilities of the best Italian snowpark are far from naive. The lucky riders of age between 10 and 17 years were selected during strict and tough process of qualifying. The boys, who came from twelve nations, will challenge in front of the eyes of many professional team managers, international champions and media crew, who will came here in search of the new talents.
For some of the competitior the event will be a golden opportunity to make the jump into the world of professionalism: “From Rookie to Pro System.”
Noone from the spectators is going to miss any single moment of the performance. Among the guests of the event, will be the living legend of USA snowboarding, Bob Klein, today an award-winning professional team manager, who will hold a workshop “Wanna be a Snowboard Pro ?”
The adrenaline, the athletic, the challenge to gravity will erupt in this 3Star Protest World Rookie Fest, an event that is unique,
because you can see the evolutions performed at the top level, but at the same time you can soak up with the atmosphere of the best international snowboarding.
Double cork, front flip, cab 1260: the difficulty of tricks that each competitor is allowed to show during the World Rookie Fest is more and more challenging.
Livigno on this occasion will held a wild apres-ski, in which the tribes of the table experience with their colorful baggy clothes and their picturesque forms of socialization, with lots of music and a great desire to have fun.
There will also be plety of fun during the competitions.
With its 120 thousand square meters ( a size of 30 football fields) The Swatch Snowpark Mottolino is designed on purpose to give everything you can imagine for the table and twin tips, ski twin tip and for testing the limits of gravity.
170 thousand cubic meters of snow were used during the construction of snowpark’s facilities, the amount that can fill up 17 000 trucks. Despite the lack of snow and the wind rushing past few days, the Mottolino team was mobilized day and night to prepare the white sand of the Rookie Fest. It is really the new Eldorado prepered for adrenaline flying Peter Pans : The future of winter sports is all theirs.
