50 km long Val Sarentino ( Sarntal ) stretching between Bolzano and Vipitieno, is habited by people in 10 municipalities, who still like to wear traditional clothes and continue old craftsman tradition.
The main village here is Sarentino (Sarnthein) with the 14th century church of St.Cyprian surrounded by stunning panoramic view of the Alps.

The summer views bring mountain bikers in the hiking area around a beautiful lake Valdurna and villages Pennes and Riobianco.

During the winter slopes of Sarentine Alps are popular for alpine skiing, ciaspole walking, and horse driven sledge rides.
One of the longest in Alto Adige toboggan runs brings fun and the unforgotten views along the way down from ‘Sattele’ to Reinswald.

The ski resort at village Reinswald ( 1492 m ) features two black pistes,(very demanding Jochpiste up to 58%) and one red Pichlberg-Plankenhorn used for holding the European Cup competitions ( downhill and slalom-G).

As one of the resorts of Ortler Skiarena group San Martino is also family oriented with horse sledges, toboggan runs and ski schools.
