15th edition of the famous international touring ski competition, Sellaronda Skimarathon is going to take place March 5, 2010.
The race leads along slopes of famous circle around the Sella mountain range and passes by four villages Canazei, Selva, Corvara and Arabba.
Every year the competition starts ( and ends ) in different village from above four. This time Canazei will host the race.

After the start from Canazei ( 1 480 m ) the skiers go up to Passo Sella (2 174 m) down to Selva Valgardena, again ascending to Passo Gardena at 2 298 m.
The race the goes down to Corvara rising to Bec De Roces ( 2 080 m ) through Arabba to Pordoi (2 239 m) and finally down to Canazei.

Altogether the skiers are to challenge 42 km of track with total height difference of 2 700 m.
Such demanding and enduring race is suitable for very qualified and trained skiers.

The extra portion of emotions is garanteed by the fact, that the competition is held during the night.
For the safety reasons the skimarathon it is open only to 2-people teams. Each team must be equipped with: two pairs of touring skis and a front light.
