Arguably the best Italian snowpark, Mottolino is definitely the biggest one, and hosts the biggest number of snowboard events in Italy.
There are the regular competition like Burton European Open, World Rookie Fest and gaining the growing popularity Budweiser River Jump,the special jump over the Spoel river.
Besides Burton’s and Transworld’s photoshooting sessions, Mottolino Snowpark became one of the 5 snowparks chosen by Swatch to launch SHOOT MY RIDE project, which will allow the snowboarders to watch themselves on th big screen placed in the park.
Mottolino itself is the name of the mountain ( 2349 m ) near Livigno, the slopes of Mottolino and Monte Sponda ( 2576 m ) are mantained by Mottolino Ski Area, which, along with Carosello 3000, is covered by the skipass Livigno.
The snowboard are is split into several sections placed around Mottolino mountain.
The main Snow Park is located near Trepalle chairlift and features four zones with different difficulty levels labeled respectively S, M, L and XL this year enlarged by the redesigned jibbing line.
Natural Pipe ( halfpipe 120 m long and 5 m high ) is located under the Sponda chairlift.
Boarder Fun, which is also served by Sponda chairlift features two lines in the total area 800 m x 200 m.
Speed Skiing is the area where skiers can test their speed skills , along slope Pernice between Sponda and Valfin lifts.
The Kids Play Area is close to the Amanti Slope (Lovers’ slope) and it has been designed only for young guests.
