Ski Italy

The area of Solda all’Ortles does not follow the new fashion trends it still looks similar to like it looked ten years ago, twenty… The spruce forest around did not changed much with the time, the air, and the landscape is still not contaminated by the modern civilization.
The credit goes to the fact , that Solda is located on the territory of the National Park Stelvio,
authorities of which with great care preserve the nature in its unspoiled form.
Also the runs are really downhill slopes following natural curves of the land, which brings the real pleasure to the skiers, who can choose among 40 km of slopes between Zebru ( 3740 m ) and Ortler ( 3905 m ).
There are three zones around Solda, each goes in different direction from the town :
Orso ( under Zebru ) Pulpito ( Solda) and Cima Beltovo, with the highest lift in the area that goes up to 3250 m.
The illuminated run in Pulpito zone is a fun both for adults and children, who can ski here with the artificial light from 5 pm to 11 pm.
Pulpito is also popular for off-piste skiing, and alpine walks (with ski or snowshoes) to the glacier Solda.

The beauty of the panorama makes the ski resort popular not only among the downhill skiers,
also the people who want to walk or simply enjoy the landscape came to Solda.
The resort is very well known in Germany, the readers of German paper Skimagazin have recently voted Solda the most uncontaminated ski area in Italy.
Among the visitors were Angela Merkel, Herbert Diess (BMW) Wolfgang Reitze (Deutsche Telecom) and even .. Michael Jackson for couple of days in 2001 with Bernd Duttenhofer from Burda.

Solda all’Ortles is one of 16 ski resorts that form Ortler Skiarena group with common ski pass.
16 km from Solda is another ski resort Trafoi, and on the opposite side of Zebru summer ski resort Passo Stelvio.

Cross-country ski track: 7 km
Toboggan run: 2 km (3 times per week also illuminated), sled rental at hotels
